| Clara Peeters (1594-1657) was a Flemish artist born in Antwerp who started painting in early years and began to sign her paintings at the age of 14. She became a very important still-life painter and was one of the earliest who painted banquet and breakfast still-lifes. Clara Peeters didn't marry before the age of 45, but after that she gave up painting more or less. |
